Percentile rank (by total score)
Your total score percentile rank is based on your position relative to all TEPS test takers. For example, if your total score is 418 and your percentile rank is 81.33%, it means that 81.33% of the test takers got scores lower than your score of 418.

Section score
‘Average’ refers to the average of all test takers’ scores for each section.

Percentile rank (by section)
Four rings show your percentile rank by section. Your section score percentile rank is based on your position relative to all TEPS test takers. For example, if the Listening Comprehension section shows a score of 149 and a percentile rank of 74, 74% of test takers got scores lower than your score of 149.

Overall English proficiency
Overall level of English skill represented by the total score of the test taker. The type and depth of tasks that the test taker can perform in English.

Subskill level
The test taker is given a score of Advanced, Intermediate, or Basic for each subskill based on the test taker’s score on that part of the section.

Two-dimensional barcode, score issue number
We save personal data and score data in the form of two-dimensional barcodes to prevent data fabrication.
These can be utilized to authenticate your score report using a barcode scanner.
